ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I have been working as a multi-disciplinary artist, creator and maker for more than 30 years.
Originally from a Fine Art background (London, Belfast, Dublin), I have worked successfully across many fields from Film/TV, Theatre, Interior Design and Illustration, as well as producing commissioned artworks.

Television has been my mainstay and I spent 6 years working as a Producer/Director within RTÉ in Dublin.
I continue to work on a freelance basis, most recently completing RTÉ's 2023 environmental series HEATED.

I have worked a lot with puppets over the years, and during the Covid lockdown learned basic puppet-making techniques through the Stan Winston School of Character Arts. That not only led to the TV show ‘Martin’s Shed’ but has also set me on an exciting new path that combines so many of the things I love.

I work regularly with schools and groups of young people to create theatrical sets and large scale site-specific installations.
In my 20s I spent two summers sweeping the Monkey House at London Zoo. (You never know.)
